Most people live life without direction, purpose or drive – each generation is passing down thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors, which impact the next generation.
The question is, what are you and I passing down to the next generation?
Ephesians 5:15 -So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.
- The foundation for wisdom is knowledge
- The combination of knowledge and understanding is exciting by itself but in order to gain wisdom, these two areas must be practiced
- The believer’s walk (person’s way of living) is both inward and outward; his inward walk is by faith in God through Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit; the person’s outward walk is how he/she lives and talk among people.
Not as fools (unwise) – Those who live their lives without accepting Jesus Christ as Savior, with God as their Father, and the Holy Spirit as their guide.
But as wise -who walk according to the rule of God’s word, make Christ their Savior, and have the Spirit for their guide.
If you travel, you plan your trip. If you are getting married, you plan your wedding.
