In 1 Kings 3:3-15, God asked Solomon a question, “What shall I give you?” Solomon response was “therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people that I may discern between good and evil.” Solomon was concerned about being able to carry out the will of God, so he asked God for wisdom and an understanding heart to lead God’s people in the right way.
