Whom Shall I Fear
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Matthew 10:28 -And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
John 12: 42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him,
lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
- They would not openly confess Jesus Christ
- They were afraid of loss
- They love the praise of men more than the praise of God-they loved men/people
- Acceptance, favor, recognition, prestige, image & glory
They would rather be accepted and approved by people, rather than be accepted and approved by God.
